It’s gives us fantastic pleasure to introduce our marvellous guests for Wai-Con 2012!
Kelly Turnbull (Coelasquid)
Webcomic Artist / Animator
Kelly Turnbull (or as the internet knows her “Coelasquid”) is a Canadian artist living on the west coast of the USA in Los Angeles. She has animated on such shows as Ugly Americans, Big Soul, and Good Vibes, but is better known for her amazing webcomic “Manly Guys Doing Manly Things“. Her interests include drawing comics about unapologetically macho things because she’s not on board with this modern trend of telling men that they should act less like men. She dreams of a world where the beer is cheap and plentiful, violence can still be an acceptable solution to life’s problems, and no one ever has to talk about their feelings.
Kelly will be holding panels throughout the convention, along with showing off some awesome work from the comic and other projects.

John Robertson
Comedian
John Robertson is a comedian, writer and MC. A diverse kind of guy, he started comedy in 2002 and he now tours the world hosting festivals and appearing in clubs and theatres. John is a Wai-Con favourite, hosting the Wai-Con Cosplay Competition for the past four years to an exponentially increasing crowd, sending them to the aisles in laughter. Named as one of ZOO Magazine’s Top Ten Young Aussie Comics, John has just returned from a 51 show tour of the Edinburgh Fringe in the UK to riotous success, gathering four and five star reviews for both his “Dragon Punch” show and “Blood & Charm* surreal monologues.
John will be performing a very special Wai-Con only show of “Dragon Punch: Turbo Edition” on Saturday night – free for all Wai-Con attendees. This longer, extended, and more manic version of Dragon Punch has never been shown outside of Wai-Con, and never will again! Make sure you’re there!
