Join PAniC in the UWA Tavern from 7pm on the 9th of June for the first event of the con year, which promises to be better than ever before. Unfortunately for you youngins – It’s 18+ (Sorry!)

We’ll then roll into the karaoke, and there’s prizes on offer for the loudest, the best, the most stylish – you name it.

To all of our artists, traders, panellists, exhibitors, black-ops, ushers, gamers, martial artists, techies, documentarians, coordinators, merchandisers, food vendors, and transporters: a great, hearty thank-you to you all.  This is a group volunteer effort, and none of this would have happened without the energy and support from you all.  Many, many thanks.

But for you, dear gentle attendee, the fun isn’t over yet!  Check out either our Forums or Facebook for discussion and sharing of photos and anecdotes, and be prepared for some awesome news in the next few months. If you want to join in the fun, the PAniC Annual General Meeting will be held on the 10th March at 1pm at the Citiplace Community Centre on the top of Perth City Train Station.  Details will be sent shortly.

We’ll be discussing how Wai-Con 2012 went, our current standing, as well as nominating a new committee for Wai-Con 2013.

If you want to apply for a position, fill out the form below and email/post it by 3rd March, 2012.  There are ten main positions for application -

• President,
• Vice-president,
• Secretary,
• Treasurer,
• Competitions coordinator,
• Panels/guest coordinator,
• Marketing/publicity coordinator,
• Events coordinator,
• Traders coordinator,
• Logistics coordinator.

PLEASE NOTE:  Taking a board position is a large responsibility, and will take up some time throughout the year.  As a volunteer organisation, we request that you ensure that you have the ability and time to commit before you apply.  You also must be a PAniC member of at least six months with good standing to apply.

Subcommittee positions will be available for nomination later in the year.

So much to do, and nowhere NEAR enough time to do it in!  It’s the Wai-Con 2012 schedule!

On Saturday at 2:30pm another group of singers can strut their stuff on the convention stage for a chance to grab the last final spots.

For the 2 people who make it to the finals on Sunday, and the two winners from the November preliminary comp, you will be able to choose any song that you wish. This can be another song from the list above or any song that you wish to sing. If you choose to select a song not on the list it will be up to you to arrange the backing music to be provided to us on a USB as well as a copy of the lyrics for the song. These lyrics will not be displayed so you will have to remember the song.

Kelly is an insanely popular artist, webcomic writer, and all-round awesome fantastic person that we can’t wait for you all to meet.  Whilst more popularly known online for her webcomic “Manly Guys Doing Manly Things”, she has also done work on animated TV shows such as “Good Vibes”, “Big Soul”, and more recently “Ugly Americans”.

Be sure to check out panels hosted by Kelly to be announced very soon!
