Hi everyone, the next PAniC GM will be held on Sunday 12 June 2016 at Dome Cafe, Maylands from 2 to 4 pm. The venue is located a short walk from the Maylands train station (Midland line from the city). The agenda for the GM is as follows:
- Board reports
- Update on investigation
- Required constitution changes (as per Associations Act 2015)

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to come down and attend the recent PANIC AGM and had their say in the new board.

On behalf of the team, I would like to say thank you for sticking with us through the tough times. We would like to ask for your patience and and continued support as we rebuild PANIC to be able to bring you a Wai-Con and other fun events in the not too distant future. I cannot promise you much but we will give it our all.
I would also like to thank all members of the previous board: Christina Lee, Bekkie Broughton, Janakan Jeyabalan, Cassandra Spencer, Ben Fitzpatrick, Liane Allen, Joshua Ritacca & Kim Fenwick for their hard work throughout the previous year, without you PANIC would not still be here today.
As you know, in past years there has been a prolonged investigation into our past finances. The new board are still committed to seeing it through. We are still wrapping our heads around what actually happened then. If you have any relevant information that pertains to the years 2012-2014, we would be grateful if you approached us.
We have come so far, but we still have a long road to forge ahead. We seek more than ever your support, as we look forward to bringing you something a bit more, and re-engage with you, individually and as a community.
Thank you once again, and look forward to be working with you all going forward 2016/17.

If you nominate for board please be aware that you must make a speech covering what positions you are nominating for, why you think you are a good fit for the position and if you have any conflicts of interest 🙂

PAniC will be at Oz Comic Con 2016 and here are all the details!
Thanks to the kind people at Tokyo Underground we will be located at their booth (number 3027).
We will be selling some merchandise: t-shirts, badges, USBs and lanyards. And we will also have a survey for people to fill out and if you wish, go into the draw to win a prize from our selection of DVDs 😀
If you are going to Oz Comic Con please feel free to drop by for a chat 🙂 Hope to see many of you there!
We have been receiving some queries about Wai-Con. We understand that many people are very excited for the return of Wai-Con, but at this point in time hosting Wai-Con is unfeasible. As boring as it may sound, there are a number of administrative changes that need to be made in order for PAniC to operate properly (in other words, be in a position to not cancel events!). Once PAniC is back in full operations, we can consider organising a Wai-Con.
If you would like more information on PAniC’s current plan and hear what we have been up to, or would like to make any suggestions, please come along to the AGM which will be held on 17 April 2016, time and location TBC. Hope to see you there!

7 – Yes for dissolution.
21 – No for dissolution.
3 – Abstained from vote.
